The Ridgeland Police Department employs three officers for traffic enforcement. At least one officer is on patrol 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their duty is to provide safe travel on the streets of Ridgeland and on Interstate 95 by enforcing the compliance to the traffic rules and regulations by all drivers as well as lowering crime and increasing the quality of life. This portion of the department is headed by Lieutenant Chris Warren.

The Uniformed Patrol is charged with the primary responsibility for all law enforcement activities within the community. The Patrol Division’s mission is to preserve the peace, protect life and property against the effects of criminal activity and to ensure the safety of the motoring public by enforcing all traffic laws 24-hours a day. The uniformed Police Officers are the most visible and readily identifiable representatives of the Town of Ridgeland Police Department.
