Chief Bonds was born and raised in Ridgeland. Chief Bonds graduated from Thomas Heyward Academy in 2004 and started the Cadet program at Ridgeland Fire Department at age 15. Chief Bonds began working full time at Ridgeland Fire Department in 2005 and held several positions until becoming Chief In February of 2016. Captain Mingledorff was born and raised in Ridgeland. Captain Mingledorff graduated from Jasper County High School in 1988 and started as a volunteer firefighter with the Town of Ridgeland at the age of 17. Captain Mingledorff began his firefighter career at the age of 18 with the Sea Pines Forest Beach Fire Dept on Hilton Head Island. In 1997 he became the Paid Fire Chief for the Town of Ridgeland where he retired in 2016. In 2023 Captain Mingledorff returned to the Town of Ridgeland as a part/time engineer. In 2024 he become the fulltime Operations Captain. Captain Mingledorff is married to Julie and has two children and four grandchildren.
